Feast days, film nights
& chalk on the street.
Little Italy keeps its calendar the old way — by the saints, the seasons, and the table. Here are the traditions that bring the neighborhood into the street year after year.
What's on in Little Italy
Feast of St. Anthony Italian Festival
The neighborhood’s great feast, held annually since 1904. A street festival of Italian food and wine, live entertainment, a bocce tournament, eating contests, and a traditional street procession after the 9:30 am Sunday Mass.
Feast of St. Gabriele Italian Festival
A second summer festa, held each August since 1928 — more food, music, bocce, and the warm crowds that fill the streets of Little Italy.
St. Leo's Ravioli & Spaghetti Dinners
A beloved parish tradition — homemade ravioli and spaghetti served in the St. Leo’s hall, with dine-in and carry-out.
St. Joseph Table
The traditional St. Joseph’s Day table of breads, sweets, and devotion, hosted in the St. Leo’s School hall.
Madonnari Arts Festival
Street painters turn the pavement into chalk masterpieces, alongside wine, music, theater, and dance. Free to the public.
Columbus Day Commemoration & Parade
An annual Italian-American celebration and family event, with a bocce tournament during the festivities.
Tree Lighting
The neighborhood gathers on the first Friday in December to light the tree and welcome the holidays.
