Crock Pot Meat Sauce

Bernadette’s Crock Pot Meat Sauce (adapted from Nonna’s recipe - AKA Rita)

Ingredients:

  1. 2 lbs. Ground beef
  2. 4 large cans tomato puree (Sons of Italy)
  3. 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  4. 1 teaspoon basil (dried) or 1 whole fresh leaf/remove this after cooking
  5. 1 teaspoon parsley
  6. ½ teaspoon oregano
  7. 1 tablespoon salt
  8. 1-tablespoon olive oil

Preparation:

  1. Brown ground beef on stove until no longer pink.
  2. Drain the beef.
  3. Place ground beef & all other ingredients in a large crock-pot & stir.
  4. Cook on low 4 - 5 hours or on high for 3 - 4 hours.
