Crock Pot Meat Sauce
Bernadette’s Crock Pot Meat Sauce (adapted from Nonna’s recipe - AKA Rita)

Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. Ground beef
- 4 large cans tomato puree (Sons of Italy)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon basil (dried) or 1 whole fresh leaf/remove this after cooking
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- ˝ teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1-tablespoon olive oil
Preparation:
- Brown ground beef on stove until no longer pink.
- Drain the beef.
- Place ground beef & all other ingredients in a large crock-pot & stir.
- Cook on low 4 - 5 hours or on high for 3 - 4 hours.
